I'm Scott Mize, the Senior Pastor at Bethel E Baptist Church. I have three kids- Lindsey, Drew, Jessi, and one grandson, Grady. I was called into the ministry in 1998 and have served our Lord Jesus at Bethel E for 12 years. I studied at Luther Rice University and completed my studies at Liberty University online.

I love outdoor sports such as hunting & fishing, searching for Indian artifacts, as well as hiking and mountain photography.

Through many ups and downs, twists and turns in life, I find myself still blown away by the love, grace and power of God. I've found His faithfulness to be sure, and His mercies new everyday. I am so thankful for His leading and sweet fellowship during my walk of life.

While realizing the value of time honored tradition in the Church and embracing biblically sound doctrine, we at Bethel E hold the belief that our God is a very creative God who spoke to men throughout the ages in a variety of ways in which they could understand. Our God never changes but our methods certainly should. It is because of this that we are excited about the future of Bethel E. We are trying different methods in ministry in order to see Christians grow and others come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This is done through outreach, as well as vertical worship in song and biblical preaching. We realize and make a big deal out of the power and presence of God through corporate worship, as well as encourage each other to live a life of worship.

We would love for you to come be a part of our body of believers and join us as we engage God as well as embark on what God has in store for us in the future.

Hello! My name is Sydney McIntosh. I was raised here in Elberton, Georgia and have always loved this small town. I started attending Bethel E in my younger years when I was 10 or 11 years old. I started out attending Wednesday nights but soon my family decided to join the church! I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 10 years old. In July of 2015, I rededicated my life to Jesus and was baptized at Bethel E on August 2nd, 2015. Ever since then, my life has been full of challenges and trials, but I believe it's all because the Lord has been working in me and using me for the goodness of His kingdom.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Dalton, and we have a precious baby girl, Lucy Mae. A fun fact about me, I work full-time on the ambulance as an EMT. I love singing and worshipping the Lord through music and I am thankful that I get to lead worship at Bethel E.

Being with the youth and getting to help lead them is a blessing in my life because they teach me things and keep me accountable in my walk with Jesus. I love this church and I love this town!
